The depth and warmth were selected around the client’s complexion and maintenance preference. The exact direction should always be adjusted during consultation to the starting base, skin tone, chemical history and preferred level of upkeep.

Rebuilding Dimension with Baby Highlights

Because the client still wanted movement through the colour, the service was not treated as one flat darkening process. The previous highlight pattern was reworked into softly scattered Baby Highlights, creating finer transitions and natural-looking dimension through the lengths.

A Case-Specific 3% Developer Choice

Where controlled lightening was needed for the new highlight pattern, 3% hydrogen peroxide developer was selected for this specific Case. This measured choice reflected the previous Balayage history and the more vulnerable condition of the lower lengths; it is not a universal formula for every head of hair.

Long Layers for Softer Movement

Colour created the tonal dimension; the haircut helped reveal it. Long slide-cut layers were added to release weight, frame the face and give the finished lengths a more fluid silhouette.

The front and back views show broad bends and curved ends through the layered shape. These bends are part of the finished styling shown in the photographs and are not presented as a perm result.

A Five-Hour Colour, Cut and Finish

The complete service took approximately five hours, including colour work, conditioning support, haircut and finished styling. Timing varies according to the starting colour, previous chemical history, density and how the hair responds during the appointment.

The Finished Result: Richer Colour for Everyday Wear

The final colour reads as a richer honey brown copper with softly illuminated ribbons rather than a bright blonde finish. The deeper overall tone looks more grounded against the complexion, while the diffused Baby Highlights prevent the long hair from appearing heavy or one-dimensional.
