The goal of this transformation
The goal was to create a brighter blonde result that would still grow out softly. The client wanted dimension and lightness, but not a harsh line at the roots or a color that would require constant salon visits.
How we designed it
Our stylists used Airtouch sectioning to create fine, airy brightness through the hair, then softened the tone into a clean blonde finish. Care was included through the color process to help reduce dryness after lightening.
The finished result
The final look is a bright but soft blonde Balayage. It blends naturally into the root area, gives the hair more movement, and works well for clients who want a polished blonde with lower maintenance.
Client 2: Natural Bronze AirTouch on a Natural Base
This second real-client example began with a natural base after the client had taken a break from hair colour for several years. She wanted to change her look again, but did not want thick or obvious highlight lines. Her priorities were soft dimension, an easy-to-wear result and a root transition that would not require frequent touch-ups.
Oilly designed fine, airy AirTouch Balayage sections with softly diffused transitions and preserved depth between the lighter pieces. A natural bronze direction was selected to brighten the area around the face and create a smoother overall impression without turning the result into a high-contrast striped pattern.
Finished resultThe complete service took approximately six hours, including sectioning, lightening, colour work and conditioning care. The highlighted sections were lightened with 3% developer and monitored throughout the appointment. This was a case-specific processing decision, not a claim that lightening is damage-free; the placement and timing were controlled with the client’s current strength, elasticity and future hair condition in mind.
After colouring, Oilly treated the hair with Oilly Laurel Oil Hair Mask, a concentrated rinse-out conditioning treatment used to support softness, smoothness and shine. The After photographs show the conditioned and professionally styled finish. Appropriate home care remains important for maintaining lightened lengths.

BeforeThe diffused upper placement is designed to make the natural regrowth look softer than a solid colour line. Low maintenance does not mean maintenance-free: the bronze tone will gradually change with washing, sun exposure and home care, and future toner or colour maintenance depends on the individual hair condition and preferred finish.
