Champagne Beige Blonde Balayage & AirTouch: A Brighter Face Frame in Bangkok

Her hair already had highlights, but the brightness around her face was not quite where she wanted it. For this case at Oilly Hair Salon in Sathorn, Bangkok, Oilly combined Balayage and AirTouch to create a brighter face frame, finer beige-blonde ribbons and a softer transition through the back. Champagne Beige Blonde and Pearl Beige Blonde guided the colour direction, with conditioning and a layered haircut completing the look.

Existing highlights, a new balance of brightness

The client was not starting from an all-over natural colour. She already had highlights, yet felt that the overall shade looked subdued and did not bring enough light to her face.

Rather than making every section equally blonde, Oilly reconsidered where the brightness would sit. The face frame became the focal point, while the back retained depth between the lighter ribbons.

A brighter face frame without chunky sections

Around the face, brighter strands were designed to blend into the surrounding colour rather than stand apart as two bold blocks. The aim was to bring the features forward while keeping the finish connected to the rest of the hair.

Across the back, the emphasis was on fine, diffused lines. The lighter sections weave through the deeper base, giving the finished shape dimension without a heavy striped effect.

Champagne and pearl beige blonde

Champagne Beige Blonde and Pearl Beige Blonde describe the colour direction for this result: a luminous blonde with a soft beige character.

The shade was only part of the design. Its effect also depended on the placement around the face, the depth retained at the back and the transition from the roots into the lighter lengths. The front and back photographs show those different aspects of the finished look.

A root transition designed with grow-out in mind

Oilly kept depth near the roots and introduced brightness gradually through the lengths. The intention was a softer meeting point between new growth and the lightened hair, rather than a strong horizontal boundary.

This is a design approach, not a promise of maintenance-free colour. Future colour care and refresh appointments depend on how the shade fades, the condition of the hair and how bright the client wants to keep it.

Six hours for the lightening stage in this case

For this individual case, the bleaching stage took six hours and used 3% developer. This describes the work recorded for this client, not the total appointment time or a standard formula for every Balayage or AirTouch service.

After colouring, Laurel Hair Mask conditioning supported a softer, smoother feel. Care was part of the service alongside the colour design; a conditioned finish should not be confused with permanently reversing previous chemical damage.

Layers that bring the colour into view

A layered haircut complemented the colour placement, shaping the face frame and the movement through the lengths. With the finished styling, the lighter ribbons become more visible as the hair curves and separates.

From the front, the look focuses on a brighter frame around the face. From the back, the layers reveal the soft changes in depth while keeping the length and flow of the hairstyle.

The starting point and the finished look

The finished photographs show the combined effect of colour, cutting, conditioning and styling. The original back-view photograph below records the starting point, including the existing highlights and darker root area.

For a similar result, the starting colour and previous chemical history matter as much as the reference shade. Oilly adapts the design to the individual rather than applying the same plan to every head of hair.

Questions about this case

Was this Balayage or AirTouch?

Oilly used Balayage together with AirTouch in this case. The design focused on a brighter face frame, fine diffused ribbons and a soft transition at the roots.

Did the whole appointment take six hours?

The six-hour figure refers to the bleaching stage in this case, not the complete appointment. Timing for another client requires an assessment of their hair and the intended result.

Does using 3% developer mean the service is damage-free?

No. The 3% developer is a detail of this client's service, not a guarantee that bleaching causes no damage. Suitability still depends on the hair's condition and chemical history.

Can previously highlighted hair achieve this colour?

This client had existing highlights, but the same result cannot be promised for every starting point. Oilly assesses the current colour, previous services and condition before agreeing on a suitable approach.

How can I discuss a similar look?
