Champagne Beige Blonde Babylights from Yellow Blonde

This client came to Oilly Hair Salon in Sathorn, Bangkok wanting a brighter blonde than she had ever worn. Her hair was already blonde but had a yellow cast, and she wanted warmth without going too ash. Oilly placed full-head babylights close to the root, lightened with only 3% developer and finished with a toner for a soft Champagne Beige Blonde.

The Request: Brighter Blonde, Warm but Not Ash

She had never gone this bright before. Her hair was already blonde, but the base had a yellow cast, and she wanted a fresh new look: a brighter blonde with some warmth, without going too ash.

In the Before photo, darker natural regrowth sat above the older yellow-toned blonde, with a clear line between the two.

Full Head Babylights Placed Close to the Root

For this case Oilly chose babylights spread across the whole head, placed close to the root so the regrowth line shows as little as possible.

The fine highlights blend into one another, giving a soft, natural blonde with real dimension instead of visible stripes.

Lightened with Only 3% Developer

The lightening used only 3% developer, to help keep her hair strong and firm through the process.

The whole service took 4 hours.

A Toner for Soft Champagne Beige

After lightening, a toner softened the colour into a gentle shade that flatters her skin and helps her face look brighter.

The finished colour sits around Level 9–10: a Neutral-Warm Beige Blonde with a soft champagne gold-beige shine.

Finished with Oilly Laurel Hair Mask

To finish, her hair was treated with Oilly Laurel Hair Mask, the salon's own brand, imported from Taiwan and developed for chemically treated hair, whether permed, coloured, or dry and damaged. It adds moisture and leaves hair soft and smooth.

So the regrowth line shows as little as possible. The fine highlights then blend into one another for a soft, natural blonde with dimension.

What developer strength was used?

Only 3% developer, to help keep the hair strong and firm through the lightening. The right approach for your own hair is assessed in the salon before the service begins.

What did the toner do for this result?

It softened the lightened hair into a Neutral-Warm Beige Blonde with a champagne gold-beige shine: warm, not too ash, and flattering to the skin.

How long did this babylights appointment take?

4 hours in total, finished with Oilly Laurel Hair Mask for moisture and softness.
