The client arrived with very long hair that was fine, lightweight and prone to frizz. The hair had also been coloured before. She wanted natural-looking curls that would give the lengths more shape and make everyday styling at home easier.

The before photo shows the original long, fine texture with limited support through the lengths. The finished result shows a clearer medium-curl pattern, more visible body and a softer, more polished fall.

After assessing the strand size, weight and previous colour history, we chose a medium-size curl design. On very long, fine hair, this scale creates visible movement without making the finished shape feel too tight, while helping the lengths look fuller and better supported.
A formula selected for the actual hair condition
For this service, we selected a medium-strength digital perm solution imported from Taiwan. The formula and processing were chosen according to the client’s real hair condition rather than using one setting for every client. Previously coloured hair always needs an individual assessment before a perm.
Why the fresh curls look more defined
The curls are intentionally more defined immediately after the service because a fresh digital perm gradually relaxes as the client washes and styles the hair at home. Over the following one to two weeks, the shape is expected to soften into a looser, more natural-looking result.
Finishing care and home maintenance
Professional care was used throughout the service, followed by our rinse-out Oilly Laurel Oil Hair Mask. This finishing step helped the hair feel softer and smoother, with more shine, movement and weight. At home, gentle drying and twisting the curl groups while they are warm can help maintain the intended shape.
