S-and-C Curve Digital Perm for Fine, Fragile Hair in Bangkok

This client came to Oilly Hair Salon Bangkok with naturally fine, light and fragile hair that tended to look flat and weightless. She wanted natural-looking movement with more visible volume, body and fullness, without a tight or heavy curl pattern. Oilly designed a bespoke digital perm combining soft S-shaped movement with C-shaped bends through the layers.

STARTING POINT

Naturally fine, light and fragile hair with a flat, weightless outline

DESIGN

Face-shape-aware rod selection with mixed S-and-C curves

FINISH

Soft shine, layered movement and a fuller-looking natural fall

Starting with Fine, Fragile and Weightless Hair

Fine hair can lose its shape easily, while fragile hair needs a considered approach during a chemical service. The starting point in this case was hair that looked light and lacked visual substance through the lengths.

The aim was not to make the individual strands physically thicker. It was to build a fuller-looking silhouette through controlled curves, layered movement and a more substantial visual fall.

Before and After

Before the service, the long hair had a fine, flat and visually weightless outline. Afterwards, mixed S-and-C curves brought clearer layered movement, visible body and a fuller-looking shape while keeping a soft, shiny, natural fall.

Designing the S-and-C Curve Pattern

Oilly selected the rod sizes and curl pattern around the client’s face shape, hair type and desired daily finish. Softer S-shaped movement creates flow through the lengths, while C-shaped bends support the layers and ends.

Combining the two curve shapes avoided a repetitive curl pattern. The front softly frames the face, while the back creates body and separation instead of collapsing into one flat outline.

A Digital-Perm Formula Selected for This Hair

For this case, Oilly used the salon’s special digital-perm solution imported from Taiwan. The formula and processing choices were selected for this client’s delicate hair and the natural S-and-C curve result.

A digital perm is not a fixed recipe. Rod size, placement, direction, tension, product choice and processing time must be adjusted after assessing each client’s current hair condition and history.

The Four-Hour Appointment

This S-and-C curve digital perm took approximately four hours. That time covered the individually planned service and the steps needed to create the finished layered shape.

Four hours describes this appointment, not a guaranteed duration. Hair length, density, condition, previous chemical services and the requested curl design can change the plan and time required.

Rinse-Out Aftercare with Laurel Oil Hair Mask

Oilly recommended the Oilly Laurel Oil Hair Mask for continued home care. It is a rinse-out mask used after cleansing to support softness, shine and manageability.

Regular aftercare can help maintain the feel and polished appearance of a digital perm, but it cannot remove all chemical-service risk. The routine should respond to the hair’s current condition and how it feels between appointments.

Why Every Fine-Hair Digital Perm Needs Its Own Plan

Fine or fragile hair does not automatically rule out a digital perm, but suitability must be assessed in person. Dryness and any previous colour, bleaching, straightening or perm history influence what can be planned safely.

The result shown belongs to this client. Another client may need a different rod pattern, product choice, processing time, curl design or an alternative service after consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an S-and-C curve digital perm?

It combines softer S-shaped movement through the lengths with C-shaped bends in selected layers and ends. The exact pattern and rod placement are customized rather than copied as one fixed map.

Is this digital perm suitable for all fine or fragile hair?

No. Current condition and chemical history must be assessed. Oilly may adjust the design and processing or recommend another option if the hair is not suitable.

How long did this appointment take?

Approximately four hours for this case. Another client’s time depends on hair length, density, condition, history and the requested result.

Did the service make the hair strands thicker?

No. The curves and layered movement created more visible body, fullness and visual weight, but the individual strands did not become physically thicker.

How is the Laurel Oil Hair Mask used after a digital perm?

It is a rinse-out mask. Apply it after cleansing, leave it on for the recommended time and rinse thoroughly. It supports softness, shine and manageability as part of regular home care.

Considering an S-and-C Curve Digital Perm?

Send Oilly clear current photos, reference images and your colour, bleach, straightening and perm history. We will assess your hair before discussing a suitable curve design and service plan.
